EXCITING CHANGES TO COME!!!

Dick and I have made some big changes for the year to come!! We are downsizing to free us up to do the things we have always wanted to do ..... that is.... free to travel, spend more time together, follow His lead for new adventures, no more retail store after 27 years, more time with kids, but still MORE ART and probably some sewing classes for girls ..... that is a dream right now ..... but the ART won't stop, it will be here on the blog as soon as we finish remodeling our NEW/OLD smaller home about 20 miles away. SO STAY TUNED ... we'll be having a big sale and beautiful house and property SALE in the SUMMER!! MORE FREEDOM ON IT'S WAY!!! WooHoo!!! And THANKS for all your support the last twenty seven years in my shop!!!

CLASSES AND A NEW FOUNDATION

WOW... I have really relaxed and have a new peace of mind since our house sold. It cleared away a lot of physical responsibility which became mental too!!
TODAY they are putting a NEW FOUNDATION on the corner of our new spot so we can add a porch room ...our headboard was two inches lower on that side of the house! All other corners are good!!  SUCH is life, one corner a little skewed and if the the other three are stable, you'll make it!! Ha! Then I take kids to ART Classes and they are constantly singing in the back seat the FROZEN theme...."LET IT GO.... LET IT GO!!"  SO NEEDLESS TO SAY  I'm covered and doing well!!  AS IS HUBBY!!
NOW THE OTHER THING...is that I have been taking art classes for my own enjoyment on line for the last year or two or three. Right now the one I am taking is called SKETCHBOOKERY with Mary Ann Moss.  It is watercolor joy and journal making about what ever strikes your fancy!!  That is her style and so easy going!! Here are a few shots of rediscovering my watercolors and just PLAYING AROUND with color and letters and some blind one line contour drawing which forces you to look at WHAT you are drawing and not what you THINK it should be....just good eye and hand practice!! AND some POSSIBLE JOURNAL COVERS to add signatures of watercolor paper to....oooo YUMMY!!
The journal, bought, a Canson, for my class...it is 9x12 with lots of heavey watercolor pages...I'll make a journal with real stitching a little later and show you the results...but here are some journal covers I might use for journaling about different subjects...like....
This old "Everyday Cookbook cover.....
OR this cover for writing about REFUGEE CHILDREN in THE WORLD.....

OR THIS OLD PAINTING of a Winter Time House with a little collage I added...this could be about the new season in MY LIFE....
I'll do another post later on my new garden adventure for Grandmas....later!!  BLESSINGS!!

TRAINING IN WAITING....by TRUSTING

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON!!!!! ARE YOU HAVING FUN TODAY!!?? Maybe my new banner for the blog.....or am I too attached to the old one? All with a ball point pen....fun doodling and some color.....bliss!! Who knew?! ...Alisa Burke did!!! Love her class! More ball point pen doodling....such fun!! I discovered this on the chalkboard after the children went home .... Pilar drew this !! She is 10 and going to be baptized in two (weeks) Sundays.... I would say she is excited!! I would love this on an invitation..."Today is Sunday!" There are a lot of activities for the youth on Sunday at our church....so happy when the kids look forward to going! Waiting is not one of my pluses .... and I am learning to accept someone else's (God's?) timing. Actually, I am at peace with the timing of our "downsizing" progress .... sort of up in the air until the next project is finished and we move on to the following item that usually we are tripping on! And in between I sneak in a little doodling and drawing with a ball point pen, pencil or micron pen and some water colors added ... my joy is doing SOMETHING creative....it is the fuel for my being along with the THANKSGIVING of a true God who is soo alive in our daily lives. Even in the tough times, he must be by my side in my soul like life blood for me to continue each day. There is so much more good than bad about this world if you see it from His perspective! Anyway, things are good right now and I am loving the process of the progress!!!! No matter how slow!! One exciting item to mention is that they have built a sleeping loft in the big garage that I am turning into a studio in the new old house we will be moving to! I needed another bedroom for my kids and family when they come and the sleeping loft is what the kids are sooo excited about!! It will have a railing around it and they can see below.... kind of like being on the side of a mountain!! For a four year old, that is wayyy up there!! Blessings to you today!!!

OH MY.....

The older I get the brighter I get....I don't mean brain wise....I mean color wise! I must finish my new ones...I must, I must, I must!!! OK, OK, ..... the gypsie dress got a little wild when I embellished it with buttons, pastels, and BRIGHTER colors....and then the Frame!!!! It's the gypsie side of me....I think.....but I'm not ashamed.....there is also a scripture that says...."I'm not ashamed of the Good News of Christ......" etc.....well, there you go!!
