EXCITING CHANGES TO COME!!!

Dick and I have made some big changes for the year to come!! We are downsizing to free us up to do the things we have always wanted to do ..... that is.... free to travel, spend more time together, follow His lead for new adventures, no more retail store after 27 years, more time with kids, but still MORE ART and probably some sewing classes for girls ..... that is a dream right now ..... but the ART won't stop, it will be here on the blog as soon as we finish remodeling our NEW/OLD smaller home about 20 miles away. SO STAY TUNED ... we'll be having a big sale and beautiful house and property SALE in the SUMMER!! MORE FREEDOM ON IT'S WAY!!! WooHoo!!! And THANKS for all your support the last twenty seven years in my shop!!!

A Great Day.....

Why is it a great day? You know all of those canvases that we have painted and we just don't really like them?.....then we begin to paint on top of them and try to create a little differently and a new painting appears.....not always, but trying and maybe growing in the process....if you don't fail at first....you don't grow and learn in trying again.....and maybe again and again.....BUT the best part is you aren't always the one in control. Sometimes you are being taught by the One who loves you for who you are, but helping to tweak those areas that need to grow....BUT He doesn't throw you out in the process .... like we (speaking of myself) do sometimes to others. Then came this devotional today "Strength in Weakness" Click here ..... (it really spoke to me.) .... I needed to hear it today .... the "bird dog" has been on the loose around here chasing the birds ..... when you least expect it ..... he won't win though .... not even in the end. Soooo it is a GREAT DAY! I can't write something without at least putting something beautiful to look at .... like this old plate I found years ago and have never seen another ... .a treasure of mine. On the back it says..."Scripture Illustrations" "KEC"....I Samuel Chapt III....it is at least 100 years old or older....if you know something of these ..let me know. In this picture I have repaired the cracks it has in real life....the computer doctor cleaned it up a bit. Don't you wish we could do that with ourselves?! Blessings!!

Loved your post today - as always. The Lord uses your insight and God-sight to minister in simple powerful ways. thanks for the link to Ray Stedman's site. I have book marked it for future reads. Haven't read it yet but the title is right for me in my season.

I loved your closing comment about removing the cracks.... :0 big smile!

Sherry,
Blessed by your visit on the bridge. Thank you for sharing. I do know the thick substance of 'attack'. And Yes, even though it catches me off guard, at times, I have come to expect the fact that it is because of God's mighty hand of Grace on our lives that causes the enemy's nagging desire to plunder us and destroy God's call on our lives. But remember this - God does not recall His call - it is forever. The enemy cannot steal our 'call'. We are called for LIFE, and even death will not separate us from Him - it will only make the journey COMPLETE!

Carry on my fellow solider! The days are getting shorter - as are the nights - so use your time wisely - rest in the Lord and and then come back fighting! His strength is made perfect in our weakness!

Happy Sunday :)

Thanks for a great post and words to think about as the new weed begins and things don't always go the way I think they should.

I do love the plate also, a work of art also, you set up a nice way for your photo of it, it is enhanced in a beautiful way.

I read the 'strength in our weakness' also today and it was full of ripe wisdom. A new thot was given and it helped me also see the situation of being under 'attack', in a new light. I must remember! Thank you for sharing today. Have a great week.
