TRAINING IN WAITING....by TRUSTING
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON!!!!! ARE YOU HAVING FUN TODAY!!??
Maybe my new banner for the blog.....or am I too attached to the old one?
All with a ball point pen....fun doodling and some color.....bliss!! Who knew?! ...Alisa Burke did!!! Love her class!
More ball point pen doodling....such fun!!
I discovered this on the chalkboard after the children went home .... Pilar drew this !! She is 10 and going to be baptized in two (weeks) Sundays.... I would say she is excited!! I would love this on an invitation..."Today is Sunday!" There are a lot of activities for the youth on Sunday at our church....so happy when the kids look forward to going!
Waiting is not one of my pluses .... and I am learning to accept someone else's (God's?) timing. Actually, I am at peace with the timing of our "downsizing" progress .... sort of up in the air until the next project is finished and we move on to the following item that usually we are tripping on! And in between I sneak in a little doodling and drawing with a ball point pen, pencil or micron pen and some water colors added ... my joy is doing SOMETHING creative....it is the fuel for my being along with the THANKSGIVING of a true God who is soo alive in our daily lives. Even in the tough times, he must be by my side in my soul like life blood for me to continue each day. There is so much more good than bad about this world if you see it from His perspective! Anyway, things are good right now and I am loving the process of the progress!!!! No matter how slow!! One exciting item to mention is that they have built a sleeping loft in the big garage that I am turning into a studio in the new old house we will be moving to! I needed another bedroom for my kids and family when they come and the sleeping loft is what the kids are sooo excited about!! It will have a railing around it and they can see below.... kind of like being on the side of a mountain!! For a four year old, that is wayyy up there!! Blessings to you today!!!

Hi Sherry, woooo, I LOVE the ball point pen and color drawings. What fun and you can work on that just about anywhere. I am never good at decisions, but I would definitely try out the new banner. It would really be a part of all the new changes in your life right now.
God Bless!

Oh, Sherry, God sent you to my blog tonight to comment and lead me here. I needed someone to remind me that He will not leave us nor forsake us. We can be happy because He is on His throne and we are His adopted children. In Christ Alone...I place my trust. He truly is the Prince of Peace. Thank you for being so exuberant about His presence in your life. It reminds me that we should all be exuberant about Him. I can sleep peacefully tonight beneath His wings.
Love & Laughter,
DJ
Oh yes, almost forgot: That is some of the most beautiful pen & watercolor work I've seen in a long time!
Please don't call it doodling, my friend; let's call it what it is: Fine Art.
More, please. :-)
Love the 'fine art' of pen & ink. Beautiful ! Very fine indeed. I love the possible new header too. But that is a personal thing. Just saying...
Love that 'TODAY IS SUNDAY' too.
Glad to hear that you'll have room for your studio in you new old house :)
You speak of your art and 'creating'...as I do about my writing & studying God's word. They just go together for me...always thinking and writing, just as you are always creating through art.
We are so blessed to be able to share our individual gifts with each other - and the whole wide world has an invitation to sit on our front porch with us...it's just mind boggling to know that where-ever we reside, the Lord God is right there in the midst of us...
May we keep the path to our front porch free of weeds....and visit each other often :)
Hugs and prayers,
Patrina <")>><
Thanks girls!!! You all are food for my soul!! Thanks for the love and friendship....see you on the porch....funny the name of my store some years back was called The Porch Office....it was an old post office and I wanted my office to be on a porch....I sold antiques and linens and it is where my art began in the Lord!!
Hi Sherry! Love the new zinnia "doodles". How is the house coming along? When are you moving? Wish I could come to your sale.
Just sitting on my front porch tonight, and thinking of you...my colorful friend.
Spring is in the air.
Soon color will be everywhere!
What a delight. Spring is my favorite time of the year.
Blessings to you and yours
