ANTIQUE TRIM found at a junk shop.
Three layers of shimmer and sparkle...all remnants from the remnant bin at WalMart.
A new trim where I removed the line of pearls to sew onto the dress.
I inserted old seam binding under the lace trim for more pink!
This antique trim below and above reminds me of the work of Karen Ruane at contemporary embroidery blog ...she has fabulous classes.
This grand daughter is all about PINK!! She is the baby and the dress is for the baby doll.
Been really busy. I am doing what I did at age 10 living in Spain where there was no TV in 1957, but many things to learn to do for your doll! A treasured time in my life where Mari Robles taught me to hand sew my doll clothes..... AND NOW 57 years later....I am still making doll clothes!! But this time for the precious grand daughter and not me! I am 67, she is 6. I have seven outfits in the works but want to just show you this one for now. I pick up dollar and two dollar remnants of fabrics all year long, trims and old seam binding at antique shops. Then the magic comes with what they transpire into....for a different little Cinderella! With the MAGIC of a NEEDLE and THREAD!! BLESSINGS at Christmas to YOU ALL!! CELEBRATE THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!!
I am also making a pink lush velveteen fur trimmed cape!!

this is just beautiful...
LOVE love love it. So delicate, pretty, and PINK. Live the added pick behind the lace. Surely your granddaughter is so proud of you. How blessed you are to have each other.
Haven't forgotten you. Ive actually followed all your posts. Just don't log online to comment. Just know, I'm still admiring all your precious giftings that the Lord has given you.
Blessings to you and your this CHRISTmas season.

Patrina....Oh so glad to hear from you...I do understand the not logging on....seems I have been staying quiet and working with my hands a lot these days. Being still in the Lord and making lots of gifts for the children for CHRISTMAS!! I'll post those soon. Still no sale of the house, taking care of both, plus I care for my adopted kids from across the street three afternoons a week picking them up from school, feeding them a snack and working on homework...then sending them home...it is only 3 hours a day...it is a blessing! Hope you are well and I know His love has you covered and blessed by that security!! MERRY "CHRIST" MAS to you too!!
